For the Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger series, the key focus lies in reliability and high performance. The talented engineers at SonFlow, all with many years of experience working with heat exchangers, have developed and thoroughly tested this excellent new range. The permanently sealed BPHEs feature advanced heat transfer technology and characteristics that optimise performance, energy-efficiency, strength and reliability.
Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers are initially constructed using a sandwich of thin, corrugated stainless steel heat transfer plates separated by layers of copper foil. At each end of the sandwich are thicker end plates that incorporate the connections. During a vacuum brazing process the thin copper film melts and seals the heat transfer plates assembly together creating a very reliable seal.
